What’s the difference between a survey question and a question in the authoring canvas?
A survey question is designed to get feedback from users in the context of the content that they’re reading. Consider authoring a guide about ice cream and a page on toppings. Maybe you want to ask your user what topping is their favorite while they’re reading the toppings section but their favorite toping doesn’t customize the guide. You can drop in one of the many types of survey questions in the guide to do this. The answers to these questions have no impact on what content the reader is shown.
A customization in the authoring canvas is used to determine the flow of the guide. The answer to these questions actually determine what other customizations and content the reader will see.
